The Odum Institute maintains a statistical consulting service, staffed by advanced graduate students, who are on call in the Odum Institute computer laboratories to answer routine statistical and programming questions. In addition, several members of the Institute staff -- Cathy Zimmer and Chris Wiesen -- have more advanced expertise in statistical data analysis. These staff members offer individual consultations at all stages of the research process.
Qualitative Analysis Consulting
The Odum Institute provides specialized computer programs for qualitative analysis, as well as training and consultation in their use. These programs include Atlas.ti, MAXQDA2007, HyperResearch, and QSR NVivo. Students and faculty who would like assistance with software or with the methodological concerns of their projects can make a special appointment with Paul Mihas to discuss their data. Assistance with the methodological issues of grounded theory, ethnography, and phenomenological studies is available.
